Surveillance, Is Your Situation Safe?

When we hear the term, Surveillance, we often think of:

  • Military operations;
  • Central Intelligence Agency;
  • National Security Council;
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation; and
  • Many other government organizations.

Then we sometimes imagine:

  • Private Investigators;
  • Home Security Systems;
  • Closed Circuit Television;
  • Car Security;
  • Thousands of Security and Traffic Control Cameras; and
  • Whatever else is close at hand.

In our job or in business, we have all planned, even Worked the Plan!, and come up short. Even though the term Surveillance is perhaps not the exact expression we might use, it should be strong enough to cause us to think, or re-think our Plan and where we are today.

This hectic, fast paced world, with economic situations as they are, gives rise to the immediate problem or situation being a crisis more frequently than they should be. This can cloud our long range vision. When long range vision is clouded, we tend to lose track of the tools we installed to measure and gauge performance, perhaps even, our ultimate goal.

Many things affect our plans, some of which we have no control. The thing we do have control over is Surveillance – the ability to gauge the happenings around us. Please set all the imaginative blither aside and, with blinders on, consider your and your family’s well being.

The family unit’s well being is multi-faceted, but here we will start with basics:

  1. Spiritual health;

  2. Physical health;

  3. Financial health;

  4. Family happiness.

Many do not consider “spiritual things” of primary importance. Let me suffice it to say:

  • Do we know where we came from?
  • Do we know why we’re here?
  • Do we know what we should be doing while we’re here?
  • Do we know where we’re going?
  • Do we know Who’s in control?

There are thousands of beliefs and religions. I personally believe a person can and will find the truth, if it is adamantly sought. While I still have much to learn, I have learned a lot. One of the most important things I’ve acquired is that we can become skilled at and knowledgeable of many things, however, true spiritual knowledge is the basis for it all.

Good physical health is most wanted and correctly so, but we seem to be too busy, too lazy, too broke, or whatever, to really give our full attention (surveillance) to this important feature of life. I like to eat, probably more than a lot of you reading this. In pursuit of this enjoyable endeavor, I have gained weight and lost weight. I also have experienced a couple of heart attacks, colon cancer, hypertension, diabetes and other derivatives of my choices. Although I consider myself of average intelligence, there are just some things we “want”. Dumb, isn’t it!

Our financial health is affected tremendously by the two previous items. If we don’t know where or why we’re going, or if we don’t have health and energy, chances are, we are not going to get there!

Enough of the so-called preaching! The major point I’m making is for all of us to have the proper scrutiny whereby we can foresee the troubles coming our way and thus be in position to manage that risk.

Certainly, without all of these first 3 basics, the outlook for your family’s happiness is slim to none. Please weigh your surveillance and insure the proper stops and controls are in place.
