Why Perilous Times?

These are perilous times! Recent news reports are enough to cause many to panic. A small minority have sufficient resources to sustain the financial onslaught. Most, however, do not. The very fiber of existence is at risk!

• World leaders meet and try to determine a remedial course of action.


• Politicians promise they will “fix” the problems.


• Citizens of the world scurry and attempt to place assets in a safe and secure haven.

These efforts produce limited and temporary shelters and results. The fact remains, our very backbone of existence is at risk!!

It seems the world leaders should be able to come up with a workable, successful plan. However, the majority of those “world leaders” believe their “plan” is the best and the one which should be utilized. In other words, Hoorah for me and my country – I know more than you!

This type of egotism and greed is exactly why we are where we are. History records this scenario time after time. In every instance, this vehicle, called pride, has driven each civilization to disaster.

I have a good bit of age on me. During that time I have made more than my share of mistakes – many of which were prompted by my desire to achieve the biggest and best. I have learned from those mistakes and corrected many of my deficiencies. In doing so, I have discovered there are none of us the “biggest and best”, nor are we able to achieve that status. In sports competition, it is said, “On any given day, any team can win.” There is always someone, somewhere, someday that is in position to knock us off our pedestal.

The solution to this dilemma is very simple. There is only One, Who is the “biggest and best”. It is our Sovereign God, the Creator of heaven and earth and everything in it. He created man in His own image to be a companion for all eternity.

To help manage the risk of these perilous times, I invite you to examine The Master Plan for life. If you decide to implement the Master Plan as His Child, you will have all the protection from Almighty God that you will ever need!
