When Will Jesus Return to Earth?

This question, When will Jesus return to Earth, generates much controversy and conjecture. There have been many who have professed to know and some, in fact, have predicted dates and times. To determine the exacting and infallible truth of the matter we offer the following scriptures:

Jesus, Himself, said, “But of that day and hour (Jesus return) knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only”. Matthew 24:36

“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father”. Mark 13:32

These scriptures leave no doubt that no one except Father, God, knows when our Lord and Savior, Jesus will return to earth. The following leaves no uncertainty that it is mandatory that we be ready to meet Him at His coming.

I Thessalonians 2:19 states, “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?”

I Thessalonians 3:13 declares, “To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”

In 2 Peter 2:4, it says, “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.”

Jesus’ disciples are recorded in Matthew 19:25, “When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?”

John 3:16-18, announces, “¹⁶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ¹⁷For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. ¹⁸He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Acts 2:20-22 defines exactly how to remedy this situation, “²⁰The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: ²¹And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ²²Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know.”
