Frequently Asked Questions About God
A gent once said,
“Walking with God is just like wading into the ocean from shore. The further I go, the deeper it gets.” I have often reflected on that statement!Reflections and considerations about God raise many questions. Although our Great and Sovereign God has been faithful to teach and lead me as I am ready to accept His wisdom and ways, there is so much we will never know nor understand until we are face to face with Jesus. I learn more about God and His Administration each and every day. This page is not to promote our knowledge, but merely to help open the minds of our visitors who are honest and sincere enough to explore God and His ways.
For the uninitiated visitor who does not have a personal relationship with this God of the Bible, we offer the following: As we travel this life, many unanswered questions about God surface. The only source of truth is The Bible. To substantiate this statement, we must look to the Bible, Itself. It is the written Word of God, “quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”, Hebrews 4:12. It shows us God and ourselves, and sets us in communion with Him. Bible readers worldwide in each generation testify that Jesus Christ has walked out of its pages into their lives. In reading The Bible, ask God to show you the truth and understanding of what you read. I know from personal experience, if you will ask from a sincere heart, He will reveal that truth and then help you determine the proper course for your life. Consider the following scriptures: In 2 Timothy 3:16 Paul states, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Peter 1:20 declares, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.”
Luke, the physician states in Acts 17:2, “And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures.”
Further in Acts 17:11, he says, “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
In Romans 15:4, Paul affirms, “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”
The ultimate scripture for our comfort and hope is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
